About Romal

Romal is a  technical wholesaler located in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We are a well-organized and healthy family business that has been operating since 1932. The third generation has been at the helm since 2003 and together with its employees, a mix of very experienced people and new enthusiastic recruits, Romal has expanded into a thriving and dynamic company.

Our products

We have traditionally supplied copper wire, insulation materials and accessories to the winding industry. Romal is still one of the few parties in the Netherlands that keeps a wide range of these materials well in stock. We represent well-known parties in this market such as Synflex, AEV, Essex, 3M, Schwering & Hasse and many other manufacturers.

In addition, we are the address for signal cables, connectors and cable management materials. Not only for individual components but also for all kinds of custom fiber optic, coaxial and data cables.

We are your partner if you need Belden cables.  Not only for a competitive price but we also keep large stock and we a huge amount of knowledge. We have been doing business with Beden for more than 85 years. Romal is virtually the exclusive distributor for Belden and its subsidiary brand AlphaWire in the Netherlands. Beside that, we are also the exclusive Benelux distributor for Times Microwave Systems. We complement these packages with products from a whole range of other manufacturers. For connectors, we have nice representations of Telegärtner, Coax Connectors, Platinum Tools, Corning and Switchcraft. Of course, we also complement these packages with the popular products of Neutrik, Amphenol, Lemo and other brands, among others. Again, you can count on market-based prices and solid available stocks. In terms of cable management equipment, we offer a nice selection with brands such as Schill, PB Fastener + Components, Cablecraft and 3M.

Stock, vision and professional

In addition to quality, delivery time has become increasingly important in recent years. It is part of our business philosophy to hold large stocks. It may not make sense to some business economists, but it has proven to be an important pillar for our company over the years 90+ years.

Many of our customers strive to keep their stocks as low as possible. They can only achieve this if they can rely on a reliable partner who maintains large stocks themselves. Romal is that reliable partner. And if some products are out of stock, we can, thanks to good agreements with suppliers, still quickly get the requested products. Our people also play a very important role. Our sales staff has extensive product knowledge to advise our customers as well as possible. In addition, our product management department is constantly looking for new products, additional passive components or a new combination of existing products. We go further than just selling products from a catalog! Our sales team is complemented by very competent people in our administration, in our warehouses and in our cable workshop.

In terms of social entrepreneurship, we do our bit by giving people who are at a considerable distance from the labor market the opportunity to work for us in various positions. We also have a strict policy on waste separation and reuse of packaging materials.

• A strongly growing market is the nautical industry. More and more of the cables and connectors we sell are finding their way to companies in this market.
• Industrial customers are also increasingly being served by us. The diversity of our package ensures that we have points of contact with the vast majority of "the manufacturing industry.
